About the Founder

Caglar is a renowned Turkish lawyer and a consultant having a professional experience of over 20 years in a wide range of legal fields, including commercial, corporate, enforcement and litigation.

Before founding her own business in the UK, she was a partner at ASC Law, a prestigious law firm based in Istanbul, providing world-class services to a broad range of the world’s preeminent financial institutions, corporations, and other enterprises. At ASC, she oversaw the firm’s Debt Collection & Enforcement Team comprised of several licensed lawyers, legal interns and other professionals, numbering well over 100.

She worked as an in-house counsel for some 15 years, where she was exposed to a broad range of legal issues, including those related to ensuring compliance with company-specific internal controls. She was also involved in a wide variety of disputes either directly or as manager of those, through in-house and outsourced counsels who were directly working on the cases. This extensive experience, both with regard to the law and with management, has been instrumental to her successful career.

After altering her direction from the Political Science and Public Administration department of Middle East Technical University, she graduated from Istanbul University School of Law in 1999 and did her master’s (LLM) at Istanbul Bilgi University where she studied Business Law. During her higher education, she specialised in commercial law and law of obligations, as well as closely related legal fields such as competition law and developing laws of the internet.

She is a registered lawyer (Avukat) of the Istanbul Bar Association (#28314), and a Registered Foreign Lawyer (RFL) of the Solicitors Regulation Authority (#7002861).

Being an RFL, she is entitled to practise the law of her home jurisdiction (Turkish law), as well as advise on English and Welsh law through MHD Consulting Ltd.

Caglar does NOT provide reserved legal services as set out by

the Legal Services Act 2007.

She renders need-driven, innovative, preventive and solution-oriented advisory/consultancy services and builds/engages effective relationships, addressing companies and law firms of all sizes and shapes, as well as individual advice seekers.
